Reserving Items

I am considering allowing people to reserve out of stock items for a limited time. There would be a small fee involved, maybe 10%. Would this be a good idea? I am really looking for peoples feedback first before I trial it.

people (bilewinters) will use this service a lot.

could this not result in abuse of the system?
ie. he with the most money to blow on models gets there first = a monopoly over the minitures.
It could create a lot of frustration for the budjet modeller who doesn't have a lot to spend...

I would put a limit on how much can be reserved. It's just a trial really, if people do abuse it then they wont get the service again.
